Our Story & Mission
Building the foundation of successful construction projects through precision estimating and unwavering accuracy.

Founder - Unicalibre Estimating
"Every successful construction project begins long before the first trade steps on site. It begins with an accurate estimate."
I'm an architect by training, with a Master's degree in Construction Management from Texas A&M University.
I started my career building homes. There's nothing quite like seeing the pride on a homeowner's face at the end of a successful project. But as I worked deeper in the field, I learned an important truth: every successful construction project begins long before the first trade steps on site.
It begins with an accurate estimate.
Too often, I saw projects struggle not because of poor execution, but because of issues that started at the takeoff stage. Missed scope. Ignored waste factors. Overlooked subfloor preparation. Incomplete assumptions. Small details that quietly eroded subcontractor margins, and in many cases, cost them opportunities to win work in the first place.
I learned firsthand how even minor estimating inaccuracies can lead to major financial consequences.
That realization shaped my career.
I dedicated myself to building highly disciplined estimating teams that deliver accuracy, consistency, and speed, without compromising quality. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working closely with some of the most experienced contractors and project managers in the industry. Their real-world insights became the foundation of our approach.
We translated those lessons into detailed checklists, structured workflows, and quality-control systems that now define how we work.
Today, Unicalibre Estimating provides professional construction estimating and quantity takeoff services for flooring, countertops, and cabinets, supporting specialty contractors and subcontractors across the United States.
Our Core Values
The principles that guide every takeoff and estimate we deliver.
Precision First
We don't guess. We verify every spec and detail to ensure your bid is based on reality.
True Partnership
We act as an extension of your team, understanding your specific bidding style and preferences.
Quality Standard
Multi-level review processes ensure that every deliverable meets our rigorous internal standards.
Our Peer-Review Process
Every estimate undergoes a mandatory secondary review by a different estimator before delivery. This catch-and-correct system identifies missed scope items, incorrect waste factors, drawing discrepancies, manufacturer specification gaps, and measurement errors that single-estimator workflows miss. It is the same verification standard used in professional quantity surveying.
- 1
Primary Estimator
Completes the takeoff, studying every drawing, note, specification, and addendum. Documents waste factors by layout, transitions, prep, and manufacturer-specified materials.
- 2
Peer Reviewer
A different estimator independently verifies quantities, scope coverage, waste factors, drawing consistency, and addendum tracking.
- 3
Resolved & Delivered
Discrepancies are resolved and documented before the deliverable is sent. You receive a takeoff that two trained estimators have verified.
The Team Behind Your Takeoffs
Our estimating team includes specialists in MeasureSquare, RFMS, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Callidus, and Safe Harbor. Led by an architect with a Master's in Construction Management from Texas A&M University, the team is trained in US construction standards, trade-specific installation requirements, and the manufacturer specifications that determine material selection.

Our Mission
To empower contractors to bid with confidence, knowing their numbers are solid, their scope is covered, and their margins are protected.
Our Standard
If we wouldn't bid it with our own money, we don't send it to you. Every number is checked, every assumption is noted, and every detail matters.
